  1. What an EDPNA is

    An EDPNA is an Eligible for Direct Payment Non-Attorney representative. You represent people applying for Social Security Disability Insurance or SSI. You do not need a law degree. You do need to pass SSA’s exam. If you qualify, SSA withholds your fee from the claimant’s past-due benefits and pays you the same way it pays attorneys. SSA runs the program.

  2. Why a match exists

    Hearings take a long time. A file has to be known. Firms need people who can carry cases. New EDPNAs can get paid by SSA and still have no cases. We introduce the two.

    We do not sell a directory. We do not run a job board. We do not guarantee a seat or a hire. Matching is the offer.

  3. How an introduction works

    If you are an EDPNA, join the list. Send your name, city and state, and whether you have already passed. When a firm needs someone who fits, we email you.

    If you run a firm, write to us. Send where you need people, how many, and whether they must already be EDPNA or can still be sitting the exam. When someone fits, we introduce you.

    Both sides decide. We do not place anyone.

  4. If you have not sat the exam

    Start at the guide, not here. SSA decides who may sit and who becomes eligible for direct pay. When you are eligible, come back and join the list. Become an EDPNA.
